The overall objective of the project, focused on assisting MoFE in aiding VET School Karl Gega, Tirane and Beqir Cela in Durres by creating a plan for their development, with an emphasis on digitalization and sustainable practices (green skills). More specifically we aimed atcreating a plan that outlines ways to enhance the quality of education and align teaching outcomes with the private sector’s needs. The plan identified strengths, weaknesses, and requirements of the curricula, infrastructure, and human resources of two VET schools. Additionally we assisted these schools in submitting two project proposals and the necessary documentation for the KfW Regional Challenge Fund.

Based on the provided information, the key results achieved by CCS in assisting MoFE in aiding VET School Karl Gega, Tirane, and Beqir Cela in Durres are:

  • Successfully prepared SDPs for each school, focusing on digitalization and sustainable practices (green skills). These plans outline strategies for enhancing education quality and aligning teaching outcomes with private sector needs.
  • Conducted a detailed assessment of curricula, infrastructure, and human resources, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and requirements. This assessment provided a solid foundation for improvement initiatives.
  • Identified opportunities for improvement and alignment with private sector demands, proposing effective forms of cooperation with businesses such as mentoring schemes, recruitment, and business teacher training.
  • Assisted the schools in submitting project proposals and necessary documentation for the KfW Regional Challenge Fund, supporting them through the drafting process, online application, and preparation of detailed cost estimates based on SDPs.
  • Provided professional development opportunities for teachers and staff to enhance teaching and learning outcomes and improve qualification quality. The proposed innovative forms of training were tailored to meet the specific needs of the educators.
  • Implemented ongoing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure the success and sustainability of the schools, ensuring that progress is tracked and adjustments can be made as necessary.

Overall, these results demonstrate CCS’s commitment to supporting the development of VET schools and ensuring their alignment with industry needs and sustainable practices, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of education quality and the success of students in their chosen careers.
