In the framework of the project “Boosting the skills of low-performance teenagers for their integration in Vocational Education and employment “, with contract number ALB/PCA/202233/PD202245, organized within the program “QENDRO” supported by UNICEF, financed by the Italian government, Center for Competitive Skills announces a job announcement in the position:

CAREER ORIENTATION EXPERT

Job position: Career guidance expert with experience to conduct individual meetings with students, creation of their psychological and career profiles, a group report, as well as career guidance based on psychological profile and market needs.

The expert will be engaged in:

  • Collaborate with the CCS team to understand project goals, objectives and requirements.
  • Carrying out interactive sessions , focusing on the individual’s skills, their potential and opportunities.
  • The expert will organize and conduct meetings with students to discuss and analyze their interests, skills, and career goals. During these meetings, the expert will provide personalized guidance and help students identify their preferred career fields.
  • The expert will prepare a group report that will contain the general information gathered from the meetings.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure all materials are delivered on time.
  • Be able to adapt to changes in the scope of the project, be available .
  • Ethics must be respected throughout the project, including confidentiality and protection of children’s rights.
  • Using excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with children, team members and CCS.

The professional criteria of the requested expert (Terms of Reference) are as follows:

  • Background in psychology, career counseling, education, or related field.
  • Work experience in psychology, education, career counseling, etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of various occupations, industries and labor market trends.
  • The ability to analyze the psychological state of students and provide personalized instruction based on individual student profiles and needs.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to create student profiles and prepare group report.
  • Empathy , patience and active listening skills to support students in exploring themselves and their careers.
  • Good communication skills to communicate effectively with young people as well as CCS staff and experts.
  • Creativity and innovation. The expert must have a creative eye and be able to capture the essence of the project and the children involved.
  • Flexibility: because the project takes place on the weekend, there should be full availability depending on our needs.
