4th Steering Committee meeting, Belgrade Demonstration Event and Open Day
Held in Belgrade, 8-9.09.2026.
4th Steering Committee Meeting and Demonstration Event of the INTERCLUSTER Project Successfully Held in Belgrade
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) hosted a two-day international event within the INTERCLUSTER project, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme. The event brought together project partners, representatives of the logistics sector and other relevant stakeholders to review the results achieved so far and present new digital tools aimed at improving transport and logistics in the Adriatic-Ionian region. The two-day event was preceded, on 7 September, by a meeting between the President of the Chamber of Preveza and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and on issues of mutual interest in tourism, logistics and agri-food.
On the first day of the event, 8 September, the 4th Steering Committee meeting of the project was held. During the working sessions, the partners reviewed the activities implemented and results achieved to date, defined the next steps and agreed on the work plan for the final year of project implementation. The meeting also included discussions on communication activities, quality assurance and financial management.
The first day concluded with a study visit to the Intermodal Terminal of Nelt Co., where the project partners had the opportunity to learn more about the operations of one of Serbia’s significant logistics facilities. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia would like to thank Nelt for its hospitality and for the opportunity to learn more about the intermodal terminal and its role in logistics operations.
Focus on Digital Solutions and Connecting the Logistics Sector
A particularly important part of the two-day event was the demonstration session held on the second day, 9 September, at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. The session focused on practical demonstrations of innovative digital solutions and platforms developed within the INTERCLUSTER project, as well as the presentation of the ADRION Logistics Cluster, established within the project with the aim of connecting relevant stakeholders and fostering cooperation in the logistics sector across the Adriatic-Ionian region.
Following the discussion and Q&A session, participants highlighted the importance of the practical application of these tools for strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic and regional economies, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises that often lack the resources to develop or acquire such digital solutions and services independently.
In the afternoon, the programme continued with an open session dedicated to presenting the project as a whole, as well as discussing the current situation and future prospects of the logistics sector in the ADRION region.
The INTERCLUSTER project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg IPA ADRION Programme.
