This platform continues to operate under the supervision of the Center for Competitive Skills, demonstrating our commitment to building a more sustainable and innovative economic environment.
Our mission is to raise awareness, connect with collaborators, and contribute to the development of a Circular Economy in Albania. We aim to provide news, information, and exchange of ideas towards a common goal – a more innovative and sustainable economy.

Circular Economy
It is the economy designed to repair and renew.
In the circular economy, economic activity builds and rebuilds the health of the entire system. The concept recognizes the need for the economy to work effectively at all levels – for small and large businesses, for organizations and individuals, locally and globally.
It is based on three key principles:
⦁ Designing systems and models without waste and pollution
⦁ Keeping products and materials in continuous use
⦁ Renewal of natural systems.
Principle 1 – DESIGN OF SYSTEMS AND MODELS WITHOUT WASTE AND POLLUTION
What if waste and pollution had never been created to begin with?
The circular economy highlights and designs model systems eliminating the negative impacts of economic activity that harm human health and natural systems. This includes the release of harmful gases and substances, air, land and water pollution, as well as structural waste, such as traffic congestion.
Principle 2 – KEEPING PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS IN CONTINUOUS USE
What if we build an economy that uses things, instead of consuming them?
The circular economy supports activities that preserve value in the form of energy, labor or material. This means designing for sustainability, reuse, reproduction and recycling, to keep products, components and materials circulating in the economy. Circular systems make effective use of bio-based materials, promoting their use in different ways as they cycle between the economy and natural systems.
Principle 3- REGENERATION OF NATURAL SYSTEMS
What if we not only protect, but actively improve the environment?
The circular economy avoids the use of non-renewable resources, and conserves or augments renewable ones, for example by returning nutrients to the soil that support renewal, or by using renewable energy instead of fossil waste.
